- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆FOOD SAFE CONCERNS!! We had the WORST experience ever at a Dairy Queen today in Tsawwassen. We have been going to this DQ for years and today we experienced both poor service AND a serious food safety violation all in one go. My wife went to DQ at 10:10am on May 5, 2017 and ordered two burgers. When she arrived home, we noticed one of the burgers (double flamethrower) did not have bacon on it. So she returned to the store and asked for it to be remade with bacon. The burger was remade and my wife checked it to make sure it was all good (bacon etc) and noticed a serious amount of blood in the wrapper. She checked the beef patties and noticed there was blood running from them. My wife worked at DQ for 4 years when she was young and KNEW this was not correct. She took the burger back in and told the cook that something was wrong with the timing on their beef machine, but he argued with her and said that it's okay for beef patties to run bloody if they are fresh. NO NO NO!!!! My wife told him to remake the burger, and he did, but when she brought them home and told me the story I told her to check both patties, and we did, and BOTH burgers patties were undercooked. So she went back to the store and asked them for a refund (which they did) but the cook was still arguing with my wife about it. My wife pleaded with him to recognize there was a problem and told him the machines were probably not calibrated right but he kept arguing. This was incredibly frustrating on two levels - first, you should never argue with a customer, and second, my wife knows what the heck she is talking about. How could a cook seriously think that blood on a wrapper is acceptable? !!!! Bottom line is - we will NOT be eating here EVER again and they are losing a lot of business as we went there probably once a week. This place has gone downhill big time since it got new management last year and there are serious health concerns now. This is very unacceptable practice and we will be reporting this to food and health safety. In the meantime, STAY AWAY!!!!By J D, May 16, 2017
- ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆Great DQ, but in dire need of some service design. Long lineups, short-staffed, hard to tell where the lineup starts when busy.By Bob Sampson, May 10, 2017
